Common Conditions

Physical therapists treat the consequences of injury or disease by addressing impairments, functional limitations, and/or disabilities in patients. Some of the common conditions for which physical therapists provide intervention and treatment include the following:

  • Orthopedic conditions, such as low back pain and neck pain, headaches, and osteoporosis.
  • Joint and soft-tissue injuries, such as sprains and strains, hand injuries, fractures and dislocations, and pre- and post- surgical conditions.
  • Neurologic conditions, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, peripheral nerve injury, and multiple sclerosis.
  • Workplace injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cumulative trauma, and stress disorders.
  • Issues that cause imbalance and dizziness.
  • Sports injuries, such as overuse injuries and trauma in recreational and professional athletes.
  • Arthritic conditions, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Issues pertaining to either bladder or bowel incontinence, pelvic pain, or scar management.
  • Cardiopulmonary and circulatory conditions, such as congestive heart failure, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lymphedema, and peripheral vascular disease.

The therapy staff at ORA offers a unique blend of clinical skills that are unmatched in our community. Only certified or licensed physical therapists or physical therapy assistants will conduct your treatments. We do not utilize aides or technicians in your therapy process.

We offer extended hours of operation for your convenience: 7AM to 7PM Monday through Friday and 8AM to Noon on Saturday (Saturday hours by appointment only). Early morning, evening, and weekend appointments are available.
